Hunting Areas

Hunting in South Africa is unique in that it offers the greatest number of species in Africa. With more than 40 species available, the Malaria and Bilharzia free province s of the Eastern Cape and Freestate offers a safe hunt with no need to take medical precautions. We would recommend that you plan your trip between March and end October as the climate is more conducive to comfortable hunting during these months.

Eastern Cape

Our safaris are predominantly conducted from the Eastern Cape and Karoo regions. Hunting areas are well managed with strict adherence to quotas ensuring sustainable quality. The Eastern Cape hunting terrain offers hunting within 5 different biomes ranging from coastal bush, valley bushveld, savannah, mountainous and the dessert. It is unique in that all of this can be experienced within 3 hours drive. The Karoo offers excellent free range plains game hunting due to the vast open spaces of this arid land.

Freestate

We have recently discovered an untapped game-rich area in the Eastern Freestate. A mere thirty minute flight from Johannesburg, this area is accessed through Bloemfontein airport. It offers unbelievable bow hunting and incredible trophy quality. Certain properties are strictly for bow hunting with permanent blinds at the waterholes. Walk and stalk is also possible. There are more than 20 species available to the bow hunter.
Opportunities for rifle hunters are even more plentiful outside the bow hunting concessions.
